Moyes needs to act earlier on subs.

I'd make them in the 4th minute.

Re: Team for Newcastle
Agree with MexM, that team should be given another start hopefully with Haller on the bench.

I agree totally with Daveyg post.

Except I would use the substitutes in the 62nd minute.

Re: Team for Newcastle
no, he's fine. I took it from another post thinking he was out

Anderson/Arthur/Noble/Haller all 50% chance of being available, so probably not worth risking

Re: Team for Newcastle
Just Haller for Lanzini, if he’s fit enough to start. Otherwise from the bench and same line up.

What’s this about Fornals being injured?

Re: Team for Newcastle
Can’t believe anybody is entertaining having Haller near the starting 11 He’ll add nothing. If he’s fit the bench is all he’ll get, and then only bring him on as plan b if we’re chasing a goal. Same starting 11 as Chelsea

Re: Team for Newcastle
I'd probably start with the same side that stuffed Chelsea 4-2. Be good to give Antonio a rest but nobody else in the squad has anything like the workrate to play the genius Moyes' tactics of boot it upfield, cross our fingers and hope that the big black bloke can run after it like a scolded rat and turn it into something.

Re: Team for Newcastle
Same as against Chelsea. It's unlikely Haller will be able to do ninety minutes but I'd expect to see him in the 2nd half.

Win this and one more should see us safe.

Re: Team for Newcastle
All the games coming fast, you wonder when Antonio will either run out of steam or snap one of those hamstrings. He will start as we have no alternative really but hopefully give Haller some minutes for the last part of the game. Although it will depend on how we are doing.

Fornals is an enigma. Runs around a lot but lacks pace so is usually chasing shadows and since we restarted he has been woeful with his passing in the main and still easily eased off the ball ( well him, Lanzini and a few others). But he does possess an eye or instinct for a pass and is often involved in the build up to the goals we do get. But can you afford a bit of a passenger for 80 mins? Same goes for Lanzini. So lightweight as he always has been but seems to have lost the attacking capabilities and ability to run with it and create space. He has been searching for that since the bad injury. Another who can be anonymous when games get tough and physical.

So then you look at the bench. Wilshire? Another that is more of an attack minded or forward looking midfielder. Did have undoubted quality but been a long while since he showed any of it.

I suppose start with Fornals / Lanzini as we have little choice and look to introduce Wilshire and Yarmolenko again at some point

Re: Team for Newcastle
I expect Antonio to run out of steam in this game.
Also Newcastle will be a different team to Chelsea .

I expect it to be bit more physical and we don't do well against that type of team like Burnley.
